The Breeze, the Healing Breeze

Maybe I can tell you how it feels. It rustles through the creamy white magnolias and Spanish moss and lifts up the scent of the jasmine, carrying it right to you. It puts a curl in your hair and a lift in your spirit. It seems to blow like a mother's breath on her sweet baby's head. Calm down, I love you, it seems to say. Life is long. You are blessed. I will take care of you.

The Back River is on one side, the ocean on the other, and the two merge at the southern tip of Tybee Island on a beautiful beach with a panoramic view.

We have downtime on this press trip until 6 p.m.....after I blog, I'm going to read and nap a little [big part of any bonafide beach vacation] then hop on the bike that was delivered to my door and bike to the beach.

More to come later. I have taken tons of notes in a pink floral Shabby Chic notebook. And that's just from this morning.

When Sara Lane was escorting us around the island this morning, she talked about the slower, relaxed vibe.

We have a saying. Once you cross the bridge, you're on Tybee time. You cross over that bridge at Lazaretto Creek and you get to feeling that everything's gonna be okay.

That's exactly what I like about the seaside.

  2. Hi Nan. Thanks so much for reading and sending that note. I have some personal worries and they came with me but the breeze and sand are soothing. And Kim, who is a blog reader from this area, reached out to me and we're going to meet tomorrow!!! Hope you're well. Love Alice
