Back Home in Garden State

We had to zip into NYC to bring something to Figgy and then we drove her to the Urban Outfitters store for work [Second Avenue in the Village]. This is one of her two jobs while she considers a different course of study. Snaps of her apt terrace and store, etc. And of our neighbor/grill master Peter Braley's Labor Day BBQ. Check his list of who wanted what kind of burger--sirloin with bacon mixed in, duck, etc. He is incredible. His caramelized onions to spoon on top are to die for. I didn't try the duck burger but now wish I had--it was topped with goat cheese and a pomegranate reduction. Some people were sipping wine with their duck burgers.

Punch starts second grade tomorrow! Good nite.

TCOY
1. Bought Mario Badescu Seaweed Cleansing Soap at Urban Outfitters store where Figgy works. About to cleanse with it. The seaweed will transport me to Cape Cod. I didn't expect to find nice skin products at UO. The UO store in Montclair seems much more limited.
2. Bubble bath coming up.
3. Enjoyed the spinach salad with strawberries and pecans that my next-door neighbor Dean made.
4. I brought a platter of tender-crisp asparagus with a squeeze of lemon.
