Block Party Tired

I found my Mom's avocado-colored percolator for sale online!
Here's an Etsy link: https://www.etsy.com/listing/235380371/reduced-clearance-large-36-cup
Fun and games....big bouncy house for kids! Cotton candy machine! Peter at the grill, with his caramelized onions. Hotdogs, burgers. Iam's homemade chili, with lime wedges, cilantro and chopped red onion on the side. Karen's glazed lemon cookies, Heather's brownies. Kegs of beer, a couple bottles of wine, ice-cold juice pouches and water. I brought hotdogs, buns, sauerkraut, angel food cake with caramel glaze and my Mom's old avocado-green 36-cup Automatic Party Percolator* down to the island, filled with organic, fair trade hot chocolate. Took two cans of whipped cream, too.

I like my neighbors. Very much.

We are always tired on block party night because we have to carry a lot up and down to the grassy island in the middle. And the kids are tired from running and jumping and laughing, eating up their own little slice of American life. Good night, sleep tight.

TCOY
  1. Mass. Spiritual food.
*I think she got it with S&H Green Stamps when I was a kid. It's really pretty handy.
