I did hear this: The stone that the builders rejected has become the cornerstone. I always loved that. And since Punch was outside doing cartwheels on the church's small green lawn, I brought her over to show her the old brown cornerstone, dated 1896, from our original church, positioned right under the cornerstone from our current church, dated 1996. I told her how the cornerstone is considered the most important. I didn't get to explain the part about the stone that the builders rejected, nor am I sure how I would, but I think I reached her and connected her to the Mass.
Good night.
