Sis had these old photos from May 1956. From left, my Irish grandpa, Jim; Dad holding my oldest brother, John; my godmother, Aunt Gloria; and Mom. They're using their wedding china for coffee and cake. Now I use their wedding china, too, these 50 years later. See photo below.
Sis and I went to see/hear David Sedaris read in Stamford tonight. He is so funny and gifted; his details and dialogue so keenly observed.
Before that, we went to a yoga class at the Water Club, had lunch on Greenwich Avenue and popped into the Lilly Pulitzer store, pretty as ever.
When I get to Grand Central, will walk across town to Port Authority and catch 11:45 bus home. Will get to my block just after midnight.
Leaving in early a.m. for Cape! Already pulled out the Lilly totes of sheets and towels before I left for Connecticut, and the keys from Dad, too.
Good night to you.
love the china!
