Punch kinda drove me batty on the long ride up, unable to sit still and keep her seatbelt on in the Mernins' minivan; literally bouncing in and out of her seat on the 300-mile drive. Too bad H. and I misplaced her Kindle. We took it away on Easter for a timeout and haven't been able to find it since. But we all saw the cranberry bogs today, lush and rich on
Route 6, under a bright blue sky.
We went to the Sparrow--and I bought a soft, cotton candy pink Sparrow sweatshirt on sale for $20--and to Great Pond and the Superette. We got pasta, sauce, broccoli and Parmesan for a simple dinner. My friend Anne and Nikki are here! H. is driving up Sunday.
Other staples purchased at Superette by windmill: emery boards, hairbrush, Cheddar, chips, crackers, milk, bread, Creamsicles.
After dinner, we played hide and seek in the house and the girls were squealing with laughter. I hid behind the shower curtain once and Sug and I took cover another time behind the drapes, but Punch saw my feet. When the girls hid in the spare bedroom closet, I knew right away, because I heard them breathing.
Good night.
