Photo Diary, April Sunday on Cape Cod

Our friends Anne and Nikki drove back to Montclair and H. arrived by 8 p.m., with Punchy's pink bike. I want to read, so will post photos. But I don't have a snap of the sky over Marconi Beach tonight. Diamonds in the dark. Hopeful, clear and bright.

Anne is gluten-free, so we put candles in a pint of gluten-free ice cream.

Got her a Cape Cod mug from the general store.

We love the Wellfleet Bay Wildlife Sanctuary! We both get annual family memberships.

Magical fairy house at sanctuary.

Blue chair from Henry Beston's Outermost House suspended from visitor center ceiling. House washed out to sea in storm.

Like mothers, like daughters. They love it there too.

Old whale bones.

Punchy and me and stuffed seal makes three.

After H. arrived, we zipped to the Oyster for delicious late Sunday dinner. He started with famous Wellfleet oysters. Punch and I shared The Wedge salad and beef short ribs with parsnip purée.

Sweet, starry dreams.

TCOY
1. Walked Sug twice w Punch. Hit 10,000 steps.
2. Breathed in beautiful air at Wellfleet Sanctuary.
3. We saw a wild turkey at WS and a group of turtles basking in sun.
4. Punch played Mommy, insisting I take an afternoon nap, which I did.
5. Reading.
