Sweet & Sour Easter Basket

H. and Punch dipped eggs in pretty Lilly Pulitzer colors--and that's my
vintage Lilly patchwork purse in the foreground. My friend Elly found it for me.
SWEET
  1. The music and pristine white lilies at 10:30 Mass.
  2. Pretty Easter clothing: pearl pink sheath, floral skirt, yellow sweater.
  3. Family breakfast before Figgy went to work at Petco from 10 to 4.
  4. Egg hunt with clues created by Senor Easter Bunny in our house, who was up til 1 writing rhymes on paper slips for me, Punch and Fig. He hid bright plastic eggs w clues in the garden, under the dwarf apple tree, in the peach tree, in the sink, in the fireplace, the freezer, the bird bath.
  5. Evening walk in park.
  6. Easter kitchen towel from Sis.
SOUR
  1. Punch misbehaved big time at Mass. I mean she does have ADHD and it was 1.5 hours, but it was embarrassing and unpleasant. She smuggled in chocolate, which we confiscated, and spoke when you should be quiet and slammed down the kneeler and etc. etc. Bad news bear.
  2. Sis's husband, Don, is in Greenwich Hospital with pneumonia. We saw him last night. Cloud of worry.
  3. Though I sidestepped candy, fell into starch stupor from home fries and bagels.
  4. Miss Dad, and especially because he would have been such a loving support to Sis. I am, too, but you need your Dad.
  5. Worries.
Still, Happy Easter, with the fertile hope of tulip blooms, baby chicks, bunny-shaped candies and colored eggs. Good night.
