Good Night from Lady on the Lake

It’s a pond, actually. Clarks Pond, down in South Jersey farm country. But it’s not all sugar beets and corn--a lot of poverty down this way, too.

1. Ate healthfully. Punchy’s Poppy (around my age) made delicious chicken, carrots, homemade sourdough bread. Mimi made tender white local corn on cob and steamed sweet potatoes.
2. We sat and talked on screened-in porch while rain tapped on lake--Poppy, Mimi, Punch, me and Belle, the dog.

4. About to get good night’s sleep. I missed the turnpike and the drive took 3 hrs.
