Hello from Columbus Circle

Up at 6 A.M. to shower and bake....measuring dark cocoa, drifts of flour, mountains of ice-crystal sugar, and cracking eggs, melting snow-white chocolate...while listening to Christmas music on radio, grateful the DJs were up with me....then pack up cookies with ribbons and bows....and hop on bus to NYC to deliver...also had 11:30 A.M. appt. with Dr. B., and the outlook is dim. Uphill battle. Must exercise more, take better care of myself. Walked all the way back from his office at 85th Street and Madison to here, the Time Warner Center @ Columbus Circle. Dashing off this quick note from Samsung Internet Lounge, then walking to Port Authority to catch bus for appt. with H. in Montclair.

Walked through Central Park. Holiday sightings:
  • Many big strong horses pulling carriages...the poor beasts looked handsome and/or pretty, but really tired, like they were carrying the holiday world on their shoulders. Their shoes clopped, clopped against the asphalt....I think their feet hurt. I felt sorry for them. Several were wearing circus-style feather plumes, which looked kind of garish against their sturdy workhorse bodies, and one even had a Santa hat flopping down over its brow. I hope they get some shiny, fresh Christmas apples and a good rest later.
  • Pedicabs en masse, holding tourists, who were holding cameras.
  • Parents with their kids. Nice. And brothers and sisters, like the two little dark-haired boys I saw...the older one was rubbing the littler one's head, and putting his hand in the hood of his jacket.
Have to dash or will miss bus....

TCOY
  1. Used special serum on my face--bought at spa in Colorado. A little Colorado in a bottle.
  2. Please see above. Walked from Port Authority to 57th and Eighth Ave., then from 85th and Madison through Central Park to Columbus Circle.
  3. Went to Dr. B. Faced facts--and music. Want to get back on healthy track.
  4. At Dean & DeLuca, got two very good two-bite cookies instead of a big doughy doughnut or cupcake.
  5. Lots and lots of ice water.
  6. Private Benjamin.
