Are H. and I good parents? I know we're kind, but are we too soft, too liberal? Our house is open to Figgy and her friends. I sometimes worry about exactly where to draw a line in the sand. I have a pretty good internal compass. I know what's right and wrong. And H. and I think Figgy has a pretty good internal compass, too. On the one hand, I like to talk openly to the kids about why some things are not necessary and not smart. To be a parent. But I also like the dialogue, the chance to hear their side of the story. It's a fine line.
I live in a glass house. Can I throw stones? As a parent, am I obligated to?
Signing off from the living room couch. There were 7 girls and 5 boys here. Some still remain, as tomorrow is a school holiday [Good Friday].
Good night. I welcome your insights.
