Nothing & Everything

Look! Famous costume designer Edith Head on a 1973 "Columbo" epidsode
tonight. We finally have MeTV. It's channel 8 in our house. Sis has had it for
a while and I have been jealous. All the old shows!!!
Busy day. I normally head for the Cape on this four-day, teachers' convention weekend in November but couldn't because of the Baptism. It felt good, though, to get things in order around our house.

Stream of consciousness.
I finally found my fitbit charger that goes in my laptop....Punchy had taken it out "because it was in the way when I was eating popcorn" [she was watching a movie on my laptop and couldn't get her hand into the popcorn bowl by her side with the charger hanging out]...and H. had put it on the ottoman...now I will be on track again....I felt lost without it...we are in between checks and things are tight....we check the mailbox eagerly every day after Bobby drops off the afternoon delivery...H. cooked our last, little garden eggplant for dinner with some very mediocre ravioli...they were pink, had red pepper in the filling and were downright weird...He is going to do a taping for the "Today Show" tomorrow...I have writing deadlines...pretty candles are burning on the mantel now...I should never have bought those 4 big "compost cookies" at the youth group bake sale after Mass today...but the label said they were made from a recipe from Momofuku Milk Bar, which drew me right in.....that's a bakery I have long wanted to try....they were delicious and addictive....and I have wanted that cookbook....have picked it up and put it down in Williams-Sonoma...I am going to sleep now.

Good night.

TCOY
  1. While Punchy had 9:30 a.m. soccer practice at Anderson Park, I got to walk a loop around with my friend Barbara, who happened to be strolling by with her walking group.
  2. Mass. A chance to sing a little.
  3. Restorative yoga class. It's monthly. Love the teacher, Joe. Will do better next time minus Momofuku.
  4. Little nap, but not very restful. Punch had playmate from school over, and I had to keep eyes and ears half open.
  5. Took Sug for a walk under the stars. I miss our walks. Must get back to them, for both of us.
  6. Good dental care.
  7. Washed a load of delicates in Woolite. Now I have clean at-home work wardrobe [skirts, etc.]
  8. Kept one eye on "Columbo" tonight while blogging. I LOVE retro TV.
