My Sister on Her Birthday

An ongoing quest for the meaning of life. Does true happiness exist in a Tory Burch turquoise-trimmed sheath, a MarieBelle Dark Chocolate Croquette bar, a rose garden, a rocky Maine beach, a daughter's eyes, an inky star-sprinkled sky, hours of computer keystrokes that tell a story--or all of the above?
So glad you got to spend Sis's birthday together! She is beautiful -- inside and out. The cake looks great, too! Love, Lin
ReplyDeleteI will tell Sis, Lin. You know, I don't think she reads my blog all the time!
DeletePAR-TAY! Cake looks great!
ReplyDeleteHahahha, hi Liz. I slept till almost 11 a.m.! Sis's cute doggy by my side. We had fun and will have fun today, too.....I think I'm driving back about 8 p.m. Have a nice weekend. Love Alice P.S. My Sis and I are cake snobs. I think we like this one. But that icing recipe is kind of.....IDK.....I think it may be because I tried to decrease the powdered sugar and butter and make less of it...and I think I may have added too much freshly squeezed lemon juice in proportion....but I am happy I made my sister her lemon cake. :)
Deleteagree frosting makes or breaks a cake - I like lemon cake but Peter loves it
ReplyDeleteSo happy to hear of a delicious sleep for you! 🛌
Liz
