Nice 10-day vacay. Going home without too much of a tan because 1) trying to avoid sun damage 2) hate sunscreen coat [despite pricey tube I bought] and 3) I preferred to read, rest, bike or swim in pond vs lounge and burn at no-shade-in-sight beaches.
The seashore is magnificent and I biked there w Dan and went at nite w girls to look for seals from overlook.
I just didn’t want to bake.
Setting ⏰ early to pack and clean.
Will miss:

- Lighthouses.
- Farmstands with corn and tomatoes.
- Clams!!!!! Florida Orange 🍊 steamed littlenecks in garlic and white wine tonite.

- Beach plums.
- Outdoor shower.
- Ranch house--nice for family to all be on one level.
- Route 6 [even though I think Massachusetts drivers are predisposed to dislike my driving due to NJ plate].
- Seeing Fig, Punch and 🍊 together--on bikes, at lobster shack, cooking, in arcade, ice cream shop, seafood store, or, as now, cuddled on couch,
- Hot Chocolate Sparrow.
- Wild turkeys.
- Unspoiled Nauset Marsh.
- Monarch butterflies.
- Frolicking seals.
- Shark warning flags.
- Sending Cape Cod postcards from the North Eastham Post Office.
- The dishes in the kitchen--buttercup yellow or blue and white.
- Being far from home with family.
- The breeze, from both sides of this narrow sandy cape--rustling the white lace curtains in the living room.
- The memories the trip stirred up of Mom and Dad and their year-round Cape friends, Rite and Bob.
- The church up here.
- Lilly Pulitzer fashion sightings on women and little girls. I wore my strapless Lilly lavender and navy dress several times over my swimsuit.
- Hot Chocolate Sparrow,, ice cream and treats for Punch, 🍊 and me, $22.
- Mac’s Market & Kitchen, dinner fixings--clams, garlic, lemon, lobster, corn salad, kale salad, mango salsa, pita chips, mini biscotti, $52.61.
- Ben & Jerry’s, nondairy cookie dough ice cream cone for Fig, $6.36.
- Bank ATM fees, $5.
- Church collection to help Cape Cod kids w special needs, $10.
- General store, spaghetti and 2 gallons water, $8.
