Things are hard again. I can't go into detail. But I am scared. As a girl, I didn't like the woods at the bottom of our neighborhood park. I liked Bedford Park, with the swings and the slide and the merry-go-round. I liked the ballfield, where men played softball and their wives cheered them on. But in the woods, there were creepy trees, one that was hollowed out. It looked like a witch could live inside it. I was so scared of that tree. I didn't want to go anywhere near it. It was the unknown.
But I'm not a child anymore. I'm an adult, a mother. And I have to go near creepy things sometimes. I have to face them. I am older and wiser. I try mightily to see them for what they are. A tree is a tree is a tree. It's not a witch's house. And a problem is a problem is a problem. It does not have to be insurmountable or forever or the end of everything good. I hope and pray.
Good night.

- Good, tingly, minty tooth care.
- Mass.
- Stared down eggnog at the supermarket--beckoning in a big glass farmhouse bottle.
- Walked Sug in the sunlight with Figgy and later by myself, in the moonlight.
- Lots of good veggies.
- Cleaned house today, so won't be distracted on workday tomorrow.
I hope and pray, too. And I understand. Setbacks are heartbreaking... and scary. But you have it right. [[It does not have to be insurmountable or forever or the end of everything good.]] I know you are working hard. Hang in there. Love, Linda
