A Walk in the Woods

Right to left: Celia, Sug, Me, Fig, Caroline, Ben and H.
Our friends and their teen son, Ben, came to visit from NYC today. It is always a treat to see them. We took a walk up at Mills Reservation with Fig and her friend. Greg took the photo. Thanks, Greg.

Good night. Or should I more honestly say: Scary night. Rough night. Dark night. And can't help but say, look at me in that photo: Not a smidge of makeup, not even lipstick, which would make me look more alive; same rumpled outfit worn second day in a row; pocketful of questionables. Don't ask. Sug looks content. Better path ahead, I hope and pray. Today's has been rocky, literally and figuratively, visit from our pals aside.

  3. Hang in there, Miss Alice! I think that is a lovely, natural picture. You are too hard on yourself.

  4. Our son just arrived from NYC last night to stay for a few days.
Saw your article , 'Dad's Gift', in this month's Coastal Living and just wanted to pop by and say how much I enjoyed it. What a wonderful story.
