A is for Apple Wedger

In my ongoing quest as a lifestyle writer for magazines and websites, I've spent hours at my old desk today writing about apple wedgers [they also core]; party straws; and collapsible colanders. I like that the latter come in bold, pretty colors like purple.

I wore a good blouse and high black suede wedges and got my hair done. I logged many hours. I am proud to be done with this leg of the journey, though there are many more to come.

I am grateful for the work. Grateful that I can fit it in at home on a cold winter day and night, while candles burn in the next room [on our dining room table]. Thankful that I can push a button and send it off in the dark to a website based in California.

Signing off at 1:23 A.M. Good night.

  1. Walked Sug down the hill and back up.
  2. Salon color and blowout.
  3. Fruits and vegs.
  4. Private Benjamin. Very good, helpful insights involving my Irish grandfather, Jim Mahon, and my grandmother, Alice Mahon.

  1. I also love that part of technology - pushing the send button and voila!, work is delivered. For me, the invention of the PDF proof is a dream come true. (Used to have to get in my car to deliver each layout revision.) Got your email... thank you! Love, Lin

  2. oh yes, the PDF must have been miraculous for artists/art directors!! what a royal pain to deliver layout revisions in person.....thinking of you al
