H. is in Wisconsin on a long-planned annual trip to Washington Island with his college friends. He deserves it. He's been working hard. He'll be back Tuesday but then has to turn around and drive to D.C. the next day for work and stay overnight again.
With an eye on getting some time alone, tonight I booked Elaine, our wonderful sitter, so I could attend a memorial service; then I went solo to see "Enough Said," starring James Gandolfini and Julia Louis-Dreyfus. I really liked it. Very close take on how parents feel when their [only] children are moving out for college. And honest adult emotions and portrayals [even wrinkles and belly fat]. Tavi Gevinson plays a role, too--I knew her only as the young "style rookie" blogger who is the darling of fashion editors. She was good.
Now I have to sleep. Good night.
