At Moutainside Hospital. I've logged time in this Montclair E.R. with Dad, Figgy and even Punch [she was about a year or so and crawling around and H. feared she had opened an aspirin bottle and taken some--turns out she hadn't].
Here for six hours so far. H. slipped on our icy front steps. The doctor and nurses are very good. People were dropping like flies on that treacherous ice.
I need to wash my face and hair!
Oh no! I hope he isn't too badly hurt!
ReplyDeleteHi Kim. Thanks. Very
ReplyDeleteGood orthopedist reset bone by hand. We left after 7 hrs with cast and sling..,his right hand. Could be worse. Love Alice
Oh, that's terrible! How long does the cast stay on? Six weeks? Oh, boy. I hope he's not in too much pain. Love, Lin
ReplyDeleteOh no! Hands have so many pain receptors! Love and good thoughts winding your way.
ReplyDeleteERs are such very fraught places, each visit overlaid with memories of other visits, life threatening and less so. Impossible to be sanguine and relaxed when there. Glad you are home and hope there are good pain meds. Especially if it's his dominant hand, he'll be frustrated for a while at his clumsiness.
Sorry to hear this! Love to all of you.
ReplyDeleteHi guys. Thanks for the lovely notes. I think it will be five weeks or so. Dan was just in California for a week.....crazy. Love Alice
