Gardens in the Snow

It's icy and snowy outside, but I've been writing about an elegant rooftop garden in Brooklyn Heights. How lovely! The hosts serve their guests [many] succulent grilled lobsters with spicy garlic sauce and homemade Limonada cocktails, inspired by their trip to Sicily. Each is garnished with a sprig of rosemary from their rooftop herb garden.

What a life, what a life.

That's ok, I'm grateful for my life, too. For the fire H. built in the fireplace, for the couch, the heat, the warm blankets, the clean water. These are not to be taken for granted.

Yet I'm still struggling mightily to understand something in our family that is foreign and confusing to me, in a big way. I pray for peace, hope, kindness, love, patience, understanding. I pray for the best. That's what families do.

Good night.

  3. Nice afternoon latte.
  4. Slept late, with Punch away. Refreshing.
