Happy Birthday, Dear Punchy

Hard to believe Punchy is 10 today! I hope to write more tomorrow. She requested Baked Alaska for Sunday birthday dinner. Haven't made one since International Chefs' Club at Dumont High. Oh, and Figgy's guy friend made one here once.

Short brunette taskmaster saw one with chocolate cake base in some science book [of all things]. Guess it is like a science fair miracle, baking ice cream with meringue on top.
