Keeping head above water. Life can be messy, and unfair. Paths you didn't expect to take, didn't expect others to take. Heartache, pain.
It can also be beautiful.
Trying to write about 7 cooking gadgets every day so I will have finished writing about 50 of them by end of day Friday. It's just I have to hold them, measure them, study them. I am moving along. Don't you wish for a finely etched grater to shave pure dark chocolate over tiramisu?
It's pouring now. I used up the overripe peaches to make a very nice Peach Crisp from Ree Drummond's cookbook; I was a peach or two short, so tossed in some plump blackberries.
Good night to you.

- Went to my support group. So grateful. Be the change you want to see, adapted from Ghandi's words. I am trying, to be less judgmental and more compassionate. To do my very best in life. I am a work in progress, as they say.
- Hit my favorite spot, Juice Culture, again. This time for the blended Greg drink. OMG, made with cold brew coffee from Java Love.
- Went to Montclair Farmers Market at Walnut Street train station with Punch and Sugar. We spent $30, all the cash I had on me, to buy: 1 quart new pickles; 1 new pickle on a stick for Punch; a pint of chilled coconut mango soup from Spoon Me; a pretty Peach Fusion mum for my outdoor pot; a pesto pizza for two; and a fat red pepper. On the pickle line, Punch saw a taco stand but the tacos were $3 each. I said I'd have to see how much cash we had left after getting the pickles, which is what we had come for in the first place. The African American woman in front of me turned around and pressed two dollar bills into my hand. "Oh, no, thank you," I said. "Take it," she said. "I hate to see any child wanting for food." She was big-hearted. "You get your taco," she said to Lex. I thanked her and told her she was kind. Wow.
- About to wash face, brush teeth and set alarm for 9:30 yoga. We went to 5:30 p.m. Mass so don't have to go in morning!
