In Hotel Bed, Halfway to Maine

Glad we didn’t go the distance tonight. Dan’s mom and brothers, and the weather app, warning of freezing rain and snow for Maine. Lots of black ice underfoot here in Massachusetts. The woman at the hotel desk was scooping and sprinkling salt at midnight. Merry Christmas Eve. So far, so good. Especially since we stopped briefly at my good Sis’s en route and she had on a pretty red Christmas sweater and festive pin. My girls love their Auntie. So do I. She fed us homemade spinach pie and her traditional dainty cream cheese spritz cookies. She filled our cups with coffee and tea and sent us on our way. We left Sug w her! Good night.
