Pitcher Runneth Over

  1. Nice breakfast, Bob’s Red Mill grain-free museli w some original Cheerios and milk.
  2. Support group. Wise words, hugs, strength.
  3. Walk into town w friend.
  4. Smoothie at Juice Culture, made w Java Love coffee, banana and more,
  5. Ubered to catch tail end of Punchy’s soccer game at the park. [Dan was already there.]
  6. Dan and I took Punch into the city to TADA! Youth Theater on 28th street to see "Geniuses," a fabulous and funny show w music composed by close friend Dan Feigelson [best man at our wedding]. Liked walking to theater w Punchy through the plant and flower district. Orchids, butterfly bushes, cacti, gardenias. Lovely tropical [not cement] jungle.
  7. Dig Inn lunch bowl in city: quinoa, roasted sweet potatoes and beets, chicken, delicious sauces, including tarragon mustard. All three of us loved the healthy food. We bypassed a pizza place; it didn’t offer salads.
  8. Talked to Moey and Sis.
  9. Walked Butter and Sugar around the block, listening on Spotify to songs Taylor Mac performed last night. I wanted Taylor’s versions, so moving, but couldn’t find them, so listened to "People Have the Power" by Patti Smith; "Don’t Fence Me In" by Gene Autry; and "A Hard Rain’s a-Gonna Fall" by Joan Baez. Also: military band version of "When Johnny Comes Marching Home."
  10. Cuddled w Fig on couch.
  11. Clipped lilacs for pitcher.
  12. Planted red runner beans, which are supposed to attract hummingbirds. We’ve all loved hummingbirds since Figgy was little and we’d see them on Cape Cod in the garden at the Wellfleet Bay Wildlife Sanctuary--and in our own backyard, since Dan set up a red hummingbird feeder.
  13. Organic mango lassi drink from Whole Foods.
Guess 13 is my lucky number today. Good night. Winged prayers for someone[s] dear to me.
