Girls’ Day with Lifelong Pal

Life is just a bowl of berries. 

Moey and I go one day per summer to the Shore with Lorraine, another close friend since St. Mary’s schooldays. We still have to finagle that date but today, we scooted down to Long Branch. I had a press visit to Avenue Restaurant and exclusive Le Club [cabanas, men to set up umbrellas and bring towels, waitress to carry over excellent Nicoise Salad w white anchovies and fresh seared tuna or cocktails w names like Blue Velvet]. Above: I had berries and cream for dessert after dinner on a deck w sweeping sea view.

I plan to write more [and write piece for aspiremetro.com]. It was good to catch up with my pal Moey. She works many, many hours as a successful realtor.

Good night to you. Sailing off on waves of whipped cream, rafts of roasted summer beets and the memory of a nice decaf cappuccino--plus a smile for my Alba lavender sunscreen, the Havaianas* pop-up store, the towel service and perk of someone adjusting the lounge chairs for us by the pretty blue rooftop pool. A little seaside time and talk w dear friend can do wonders.
