I’d love to blog now but it’s been a stressful evening w Punchy. Details tomorrow and, I hope, a recap of a fun afternoon in NYC! Good night.

An ongoing quest for the meaning of life. Does true happiness exist in a Tory Burch turquoise-trimmed sheath, a MarieBelle Dark Chocolate Croquette bar, a rose garden, a rocky Maine beach, a daughter's eyes, an inky star-sprinkled sky, hours of computer keystrokes that tell a story--or all of the above?
Yesterday’s comment swallowed by the Internet... one child needed alone time, and building play and music to soothe himself from the world, and the other needed exercise and nature. Thank Goodness for peter, who also uses those methods! Your job is harder with how world will push a girl to shopping and looks based treats (nail polish! Trendy sweater!), as I know because I am in recovery from those things. Good luck boosting your nearing adolescent girl in healthy ways, so dang hard. Hang in there!

Liz, thank you. Those methods sound great—alone time, building play, exercise, music....you are wise. Life teaches us. Xo
