I've been busy writing home page articles and blog posts for I-still-can't-say-exactly-what-nonprofit-because-I-don't-want-to-jinx-it-but-I-hope-to-soon-when-I-officially-get-a-staff-position. Fingers crossed.
I'm liking it A lot. A part of me will always love writing about polished credenzas and original oak floors, hot pink tufts and sunken tubs--and a part of me will keep my hand in that. But this other part of me is liking this more serious stuff.
For instance, you could maybe ask me about the homeless count in NYC now--and I might even volunteer to help do the annual overnight count on the city streets one night in January 2021. Yes, superficial, brand-conscious me, who is into fancy blowouts and cashmere sweaters, just said that.
Anyway, this was just a quick jot from Joyist and I have to get back to work, and also pick Sug up from the groomer and the car after oil change and get Punch to her first ice-skating lesson [or, if the first two chores delay me, Elaine will drive Punch to rink and I will meet her there].
Be back later. Sugar is ready. If car isn't ready, I will have to Uber to Grooming Gallery to get the fur baby.
