I was so overtired from the early-morning school start again--we haven't done 6:30 am since March--that I didn't take that pampering shower last night. So I'm about to take a bath.
And I better get on it before I feel too tired again. I'm still jiggering this schedule. Do I shower before I garden and bike? After? Before driving P to school podding at 7:30 am? I tend to spend 6:30 to 7:30 grinding coffee beans, making French press coffee, making sure Punch gets out of bed, taking Sugar out to pee. (She is adjusting to this new schedule, too, as in why the heck are they up this early? and if Alice is driving P somewhere, I am going along, too.....) Dan and I will switch off on mornings starting next week...
Good night.
TCOY
- Biked in and out of town on my pink bike for milk, bday card and gift for Dan, iced latte, bday gift for friend who invited Punch for tomorrow. (Figgy ended up getting the last for us.)
- Healthy foods eaten: pretty and fresh cantaloupe wedges, cottage cheese, whole-grain toast, baby spinach, moderate portion of chicken pie from The Pie Store in Montclair.
- Bought a pretty little plant and added it to a shallow planting dish/rock garden I bring in and out of the house (summer/winter)
- Talked to Sharai re. mothering in pandemic.
- I've reached out to a potential publishing platform and we have a phone chat set for next week. That's good.

September can be a new start, “the other January”. Love to hear you are on your bike- I dusted mine off, and have been out once. And of course your Sugar will come in the car- my Rocky is a huge fan of routine and changes in my schedule throw him off.

P did maintenance on our bikes, he plans to bike more. Just ordered him some padded shorts and bike goggles. Not my favorite activity but if invited I will certainly join him.
ReplyDeleteGood luck with logistics, still working on my morning start. To walk Tucker I need contacts, headband, headlight, mask, headphones, treatbag, armband for phone, phone, necklace with Key, reflective sash, harness and leash for Tucker. And I have to gate Lionna in sunroom before I leave. It's a lot! But Tucker not great with other dogs, so easier to go early when few out.
But we'll make our changes!
