Happy Birthday, Fig Caroline

Figgy in Maine one fall.
Figgy and Punch this year.
Maine again.

Our Figgy turned 16 today--except she is in Athens, seven hours ahead, so it's already tomorrow there.

The phone rang at 7:30 A.M. our time, and we got to talk to Figgy. She loved our card that we sent with Sis--the one in the pink envelope that we covered with words like beautiful, talented, kind--and the barrettes and cash we tucked in so she could shop a bit in Greece. [She will change it to Greek money @ the hotel.] She said they saw the Acropolis, that the hotel is really nice, that she had good salmon, rice and potatoes for lunch. That the flight was eight hours. She said she loves us.

Fly high, Figgy. Happy Birthday to you, and many, many, many, many, many, many, many, many, many, many more.

Good night.

TCOY
  1. Boot camp in the park.
  2. Turkey sandwich.
  3. Rode bike to P.O. to mail bill.
  4. Realized I want to change my life for the better, the healthier. Reading a book called BabyCakes, from a popular NYC bakery that does clamored-after desserts that are gluten-free, sugar-free, etc. Might experiment with sugar substitutes, such as agave nectar,  for baking.
