The Chocolate Journal

First journal note: 4.24.12 Great dark chocolate macaron from Macaron, 36th St.

I've bought many Moleskine journals and notebooks, and received some as takeaway gifts at stylish Samsung press events. But now I own the Chocolate Journal. I requested a copy from the company, b/c I write about chocolate a lot.

The company's Passion Book Series includes notebooks for lovers of beer; books; cats; dogs; gardening; film; style; art; wellness; restaurants; wine; and more. The Chocolate Journal is awesome b/c it has sections to jot notes on tastings, recipes, events and favorite shops--and you know how I like jotting notes about recipes and chocolate shops. It also comes with stickers to mark things as finest ever!, organic, premium, love this!, hate this!, wow! and other exclamations.

I'm tired and have to go to bed now. But in other big news, I saw my big brother today, for the first time in more than 10 years. Here's my original post on that. Now that we met, I'm still processing it all. Like slowly swirling brandy in a fragile snifter. Mulling it over, studying its layers of caramel color, how the light plays on it, inhaling its scent. But grateful to have seen him, with Sis, for an Italian chicken parmigiana lunch in NYC. I know Dad was walking with me and would have wanted that. I know he was at the table there.
