A lot of fresh air this weekend. Felt good. Ready to rest. Today, we drove Fig, Punch and Sug to Riverside South, the waterfront walkway in NYC along the West Side Highway. Right on the Hudson River. It was pretty and fun--we even saw flourishing hot pink beach rose bushes, like on Cape Cod--but crowded and tiring, too. I think I need more vitamins and to eat less crap so I'm not so sluggish. H. and Fig were really good taking turns carrying Punch.
Then we took the George Washington Bridge back to New Jersey and headed home to Montclair, where the royal five-year-old "we" expended more energy, petting dogs named Bear and Beba, playing with Maddy and Aaron, interrupting Andy and Will's soccer play, trying to climb trees, walking Sug, turning on the sprinkler and dropping in on the Rose family for an unexpected visit and two mini muffins.
Must sleep to be fresh for a new week. Good night. Thankful, thankful for this day and an upturn.
