A Clean Goodbye

Anne, Nikki and I vacuumed, scrubbed the toilet and tub, changed the sheets, cleaned the fridge, swept and dusted the floors and took out the trash. We left the shades at half mast and then headed out Route 6 West, off the Cape. But not until I visited Rite and Bob, my parents' old friends, who have been married 63 years, and Anne and Nik took one last bike ride to Great Pond.

Happy to be back home, sitting next to Figgy on the couch, her hair up in a bun.
