It's spring break this week at the high school and Figgy and her friend were going to go to the family house on the Cape with me and Sug. My friend Anne and her teen daughter, Emmy, and Emmy's friend, plus Anne's daughter Nikki were going, too.
Now all four teen girls can't or won't come. Fig's pal couldn't make it--her mother had other plans. And Fig doesn't relish a drive that is 5-6 hours each way for a short stay....
So Anne, Nikki, Sug and I are going to leave early, about 6 A.M. and come back by Friday night.
I feel a little stressed out. Also trying to fill in the FAFSA [federal financial aid] online forms for college and it's not the smoothest sailing.
But I trust that seeing the sea will be calming.
