Flying to Minneapolis [hello, Mary Richards, Murray, Ted and Mr. Grant, my idols in high school] to attend 3M Auto Boot Camp for a group of car writers/editors/bloggers. I'll be back Friday evening, and will blog along the way about what we learn in the auto lab at 3M company headquarters. [Scotch Tape maker 3M now has a line of products for DIY car repairs--on dents, scratches and more.]

All I know is, the dress code note says that we will be in a lab environment; no open-toed shoes allowed and safety glasses will be provided.

I like my open-toe shoes!!! But that's OK. I have a new article assignment and this boot camp will offer some insights.

My good Dad would be tickled. He taught me how to drive a stick shift.
