Cape Cod in November

I've loved Nauset Light since I was a teen. Used to think about walking up to touch it, even though it was then on private property and sign said NO TRESPASSING. Now it's owned by the Park Service. So it can be touched.

Punch took photo of me at Wellfleet Bay Wildlife Sanctuary, where it was cold and blustery. And we saw a spry fox with bushy tail!
Low-leaning tree at sanctuary.

I just renewed our annual family membership [$65] today. Best money we spend all year.
Off to see the cattails.
Shells gathered on Nauset Light Beach, where seagulls shared her BLT.

My beautiful Nauset Light Beach. We saw glossy black seals cavorting in the waves.

Sanctuary--beauty from here to eternity.
We check out of hotel tomorrow at noon. Plan to do some more nature viewing before we hit the highway for Montclair. Good night. It was a pretty good day though by tonight, I did get cranky with Punch a few times.

TCOY
  1. Saw old family friends, Rite and Bob, Cape Codders who rented my parents their cottage when I was about 4--and were instrumental in my parents having a house built here.
  2. About to write long overdue letter to someone now that Punch dozed off.
