Healthy Eating

I love these little cups--banana pumpkin, yum! Also love their YoBaby flavors. Learned about from friend up the block who has a baby. :)

Tired of crashing and burning with sugar spikes....made butternut squash soup tonight, with two farmer's market treasures: a hefty Winesap apple and a bunch of fat carrots. You puree it all in the blender--pretty tasty. Served with warm whole-grain baguette and Irish butter. H. and Figgy loved the soup. Punchy tolerated her small bowlful, but that's a start. And she helped me add the squash, carrot and apple to the soup pot. She also made guacamole with fresh lime juice. Yum.

Trying to take the high road, the right road...good night.

  1. Boot camp in the park. Beautiful leaf peeping. Nature fills the soul. Those leaves--and that moon tonight.
  2. Took Figgy to the big Whole Foods so she could stock up on some stuff for her apartment [honey mustard, vegan pizza, bubble bath, fruit, protein bars and other comforts]. Bought healthy stuff there for our kitchen, too. Fresh pineapple chunks=yum.
  3. Nap.
  4. Punchy's therapy appointment offered insights for me. 
  5. Talked to Sis. We hadn't chatted in days.
