Salon

I had an 11 a.m. hair color appt. in town at Salon 212 on Bellevue Avenue; walked round trip. [I had nearly an inch of gray, but it kind of blends in with the blonde.]

Logged lots of steps, and weight training, too, since I Christmas and grocery shopped on the trip home. My bundles were heavy, like Santa's, as I wound my way back for 25 minutes along the sidewalks of Valley Road.

I lugged a half gallon of milk, 3 large Christmas-red apples, 2 pounds butter for baking, a box each of light and dark brown sugar, dark Perugina chocolate to dip butter cookie tree trunks, a medium holiday box of Godiva for the schoolbus driver, vegan spring rolls and mock chicken strips for Figgy. etc. etc. Plus: Gifts and Kiehl's eye cream with avocado from Chelsea Square to soften the season. I was home by 3:10.

Then, after Punchy got off the schoolbus at 4, she and I got an Uber--about $6, great bargain--right back to the salon for her 4:30 haircut. [H. had the car to write 60-Second Novels at yet another holiday party.] So cute to see her in shampoo chair. Haircut long overdue, just to snip dead ends, etc.

Our friends Anne and Nikki swung by and drove us home.

I'm going to sleep. I have to conserve my energy at this high-wattage time of year.

Good night.
