Shoveling in the Moonlight

Clear, crisp moon...our driveway is loooong and not fully cleared yet, but we must rest. Tomorrow is another day. In between shoveling shifts, I was doing dishes, writing some work emails, making dinner and supervising Punch and two pals after snow day playing. When the pals weren't there, H. and I were trying to make sure the Royal Miss didn't spend too much time on devices. Finally, at night, she read a real book in bed.

One of my favorite parts was holding Punchy's sweet, very realistic baby doll, Sophia, because she asked me to watch her after the friends left. One of my least favorite parts was refereeing when the three kids squabbled and bickered over nothing. Isn't pulling your sled up the hill, cheeks rosy, hanging your snow pants on the radiator to dry and having a mug of hot cocoa and a cookie good enough?  Good night.
