Punch at Nauset Light Beach, 7:30 p.m.
We walked 40+ minutes to reach this sweeping ocean beach. Punchy got tangled in some thorny branches on Cable Road.
I have loved that lighthouse for decades, ever since my teen years.
Such is the life of two freelancers; Dan and I worked hard but did not wrap everything up and tie it w a bow, so we each had to go off and work a few hours....
Good stuff:
- Walked Sug w Punch past apple trees and old ship captain's sign, weathered after decades.
- Beach plum bushes.
- Ocean waves. We went right in at 6 p.m.
- Punch made me lunch; chicken sausages w her mustard sauce.
- Saw the old Three Sisters wood lighthouses, so named because with their white bases and black tops, they looked like ladies in dresses.
- Beautiful breeze and lovely night sky.
