Holding Cape Cod memories of Figgy until they are tumbled and polished, the jagged edges buffed like frosty aqua sea glass treasures. It was rough waters last August for several days here in North Eastham when we four [five, with Sug] were all together, but I still miss her./It's been a week now and Dan plans to drive home tomorrow for work and then annual trip to Wisconsin w college buddies; Punch and I have another eight days. We will rely on biking and walking until Thursday, when Sis drives up from Connecticut./We will miss him when he goes. We have seen so many pretty places, including Coast Guard Beach in the moonlight tonight. A seal swam by, as if on cue, proudly lifting his sleek head from the water. More photos below. Good night.
Above, picture of Figgy, almost 12, and baby Punch, with one of my mother's bird magnets---this is always up on the Cape Cod fridge. The picture was taken in Montclair, but Fig had just been swimming.
Punch at Orleans windmill, built in 1700s. So cool to walk inside it.
The quirky old mini golf course at the Red Barn, where we often played w Figgy and the Mernin kids. :)
