An ongoing quest for the meaning of life. Does true happiness exist in a Tory Burch turquoise-trimmed sheath, a MarieBelle Dark Chocolate Croquette bar, a rose garden, a rocky Maine beach, a daughter's eyes, an inky star-sprinkled sky, hours of computer keystrokes that tell a story--or all of the above?
It’s a big year -they expect a lot more from the kids than 3d grade. She may still fight it, but in her mind she is getting that there’s more work, and she’ll decide either she is going to get good at it or not. If she gets summer work, I hope you can get it done and have some part of the summer off. I remain grateful my kids are out of school!

omg, me too, Liz! #grateful
ReplyDeleteHmmmm...since some of high school turned so scary and sad for us w Fig, I’m grateful for Punchy’s simple things like being afraid of the dark still and loving her teachers and riding her pink Schwinn bike etc. Figgy thriving for years now, thank God, but high school was not without dark forest paths [also lovely friends she still has and other blessings, but...]. So even though the homework/activities/learning to be a friend when you had a rough start/managing anger and hurt is hard, I’m in no rush for school to end. But I agree Liz, it’s more work and we all had to get on board. Love Alice
