  2. Dance music...fun...She Works Hard for the Money, Love to Love You, Bad Girls and Last Dance, indeed. As a creative person/writer, I hesitate to say when I didn't love a Broadway show. To judge it....I loved a lot about it, but.....it is a bit preachy with its Come to Jesus moments [Donna was born again]. However, three versions of Donna, the girl/the young star/the older woman, are often on stage together, which is cool. I loved the blue costumes! A pretty blue in every variation, from glittery to pantsuit to blazer. I couldn't find the designer/labels, though I searched the Playbill. It was disturbing that her Boston family was so rooted in their church and yet the pastor sexually abused Donna from ages 11 to 15 or 16. Haunting rendition, no details, just words, and pastor in his robes. Ugh. I do think the show will be unforgettable in my book, but give it a 7 out of 10. The singing was pretty awesome but it was mainly more story than singing--orchestra was great.

    1. P.S. I didn't wear something glittery and regret that. I went with my Sis and her friend, who once upon a time went to Studio 54 together and her friend remembered her own black and gold halter top, their short skirts, patterned stockings etc......none of us dressed glittery but some audience members did. :)
