Snowy Saturday

It snowed last night--a quiet gift of several inches [not a gift for Moey and Ted, who were heading to Bahamas early this morning and Lyft driver was late, etc.--but they will get to their lounge chairs tomorrow].

I didn't think I could get the car out of our long driveway, so I skipped my Saturday morning support group. I slept until 11!
Then I made crepes using this Stonewall Kitchen mix, which doesn't contain much sugar. We ate them with berries and unsweetened organic whipped cream....and then Punch and I had at lunch with chicken and broccoli. We all enjoyed them....tender and freshly made.

It was a restful day. Punch's friend's Dad took her sledding with them....then she went over to their house...then the two girls came back here for dinner and a sleepover.

$ MONEY SPENT OUT OF POCKET
  • $120....well, just $10 comes out now...I pledged $10 monthly for a year to WNYC, our local NPR station. The two gifts we get: Brooklyn Roasting Company coffee and this Peace, Love and Brian Lehrer T-shirt for Dan. We love Brian's show, and Dan has even been on it once to talk about one of his books. Let's count the whole $120.
  • Chinese food delivery, plus tip, $39.15.
DAILY TOTAL: $159.15.
ONGOING MARCH TOTAL: $308.34.

End-of-month update.
TOTAL FEBRUARY SPEND OUT OF POCKET: $3159.25.
DIVIDE BY 28 DAYS IN MONTH: $112.83 daily average.
A LOT.
Compare to January, when average daily spend was $71.88.
That's an increase of more than 50 percent in daily average. I can name some reasons why, including a lot of school fundraising contributions, and that one day when I bought beauty products and a silver heart ring.
Since the girls are still up and I have time, let's categorize the monthly spending.
Too tired, halfway through, will continue tomorrow, I hope.

GOOD NIGHT TO YOU.
