[Little] Ladies’ Night

Tired. Today we rented a large car that could fit Dan, me, Punch and four friends and drove into NYC for lunch and signature Frozen Hot Chocolate at Serendipity to celebrate the young one’s 12th birthday [again].

Weeks ago, she begged us to let the girls sleep over and we relented.

Moments:
  • Fig worked 9 to 6 but I gave her twenty bucks to get face masks at CVS, which she applied on/with the girls--and with her three girlfriends from Montclair middle school and high school, who came over, too.
  • Poor L. had a fever, even after I gave her Tylenol. Punch took her temp again and it was 101+, so I had to call her parents a second time to come get her, Bummer.
  • Dan went to ShopRite to get provisions. Dinner around 9 was pasta, sauce, green beans, chicken nuggets. They asked for Sour Patch Kids, Milk Duds, Coke [Dan got six small cans of caffeine-free]. And he added Oreos and Pringles.
Sorry, wrote a lot more, including TCOY, but lost it all and too tired to rewrite.
Good night.

  1. Congrats on entertaining 5 11-12 year olds, that’s a lot! Feeling u on maintenance - got braces on bottom teeth which is expensive and a PITA with food, but will keep smiling through the next decade until I retire. Had been feeling very self conscious about them in my smile.
