By the Sea

Sis & I walked w Buttercup at Cummings Park in Stamford....it was about 3 p.m....three adorable little dark-haired boys and one little dark-haired girl ran barefoot on the dock....a man caught two striped bass at the end of the pier but had to throw them back because they were not "keeper" size.....the sky looked so pretty.

TCOY
  1. My friend from boot camp and life, Lisa, works in Stamford and gave me and my CPAP a ride from Montclair to Sis's place on Harbor Drive this morning. We got to chat for over an hour. It was so great. I miss my boot camp friends. We call Lisa Princess. And she is one, from her polished manners to her Chloe pumps. So smart and elegant and funny. Petite powerhouse--she also ran the New York Marathon a couple of years ago!
  2. That walk by the beach.
  3. Read People Magazine.
  4. Broccoli with dinner.
  5. Ice water.
$ MONEY SPENT OUT OF POCKET
  • Stop & Shop, chip in on grocery bill, $20.
  • Gasoline to fill Sis's tank so we can drive to NYC for surgery tomorrow, $26.65.
TOTAL DAILY SPEND: $46.65.
MONTHLY SPEND AS OF MAY 8: $797.84.
AVERAGE DAILY SPEND SO FAR: $99.73.

Money thoughts: It's free to walk in nature. Later in the season, Sis will have to show a permit to get into the beach lot, but not yet. The ocean view was soothing. A love of the sea and rolling water is in our blood--our grandfather was from Galway, and must have known Galway Bay. His sister, our great-aunt Peggy Mahon, was a nurse here in Stamford after coming over from Ireland. Our mother loved the ocean.
