  1. Helpful phone call re Medium publishing platform. It felt good to polish the essay above and publish it.
  2. Healthy foods eaten: Ezekiel English muffin, toasted to golden brown, with 2 slim pats of butter; a Clementine; fresh raspberries; lemon-garlic roasted broccoli; salmon; baked potato; chicken sausage (distributed over breakfast, lunch and dinner).
  3. Good coffee at home.
  4. Re Punch: family support zoom call and then, in-person session w Dan, P, care manager, therapist and me, in our living room.
  5. Face cream.

  3. Make Way For Ducklings! I have gifted dozens of copies of that book by McCloskey to babies all over the US, and I must find the photo from a few years back of my mom with her 7 grandkids by the ducklings statues in the Boston Public Garden. Have you visited them, Alice? Enjoyed your essay, hope the help is helpful. At some level I know P sees the caring behind your efforts.

  4. Hi my friends. Thank you. I have found that this Medium publishing platform has enabled me to very busily write, and that feels good and distracts me from some of Punchy’s bad behavior. She also sees me practicing my craft. But a colleague said she found it hard to earn more than $100 a month there. Liz, I love the duck story with your mom! Love Alice
