Such a lovely essay! Such delightful memories! I so want to travel there, sigh.
ReplyDeleteGlad help for Punch (and you) is coming through.
loved this essay, Alice. Delicate, thoughtful, wonderful work.
ReplyDeleteAnd, yes, dear, difficult Punchy. Sending her and the people who love her lots of prayers. xoxo
Make Way For Ducklings! I have gifted dozens of copies of that book by McCloskey to babies all over the US, and I must find the photo from a few years back of my mom with her 7 grandkids by the ducklings statues in the Boston Public Garden. Have you visited them, Alice? Enjoyed your essay, hope the help is helpful. At some level I know P sees the caring behind your efforts.

Hi my friends. Thank you. I have found that this Medium publishing platform has enabled me to very busily write, and that feels good and distracts me from some of Punchy’s bad behavior. She also sees me practicing my craft. But a colleague said she found it hard to earn more than $100 a month there. Liz, I love the duck story with your mom! Love Alice
ReplyDeletePs the managed care system for P def has its challenges. Xo
