I’ve written here about my love of and admiration for Julia Evans Reed’s writing.
I made her caffe au lait pots de creme many times at the start of the pandemic--baking them gently in my parents’ wedding china cups, in a water bath.
I follow her on Instagram and once asked her a question about flowers and she tagged a Vermont friend of hers, a gardener, for the answer.
I would have loved to meet her one day.

We were sitting outdoors at a neighbors’ bbq from 4:30 to after 10. A lot of laughs, and insights. Now, vital reading. I know so much about Julia and her life, I doubt I will find any surprises here.
