...but it's already 10:20 p.m. and as I wrote the other evening, night is my plight. I reach for foods to fuel nighttime energy. Rather, I will head to bed and read.
We walked 3.4 miles today, two loops at Turtle Back Zoo reservoir--Dan, me, Punch, her friends (girl/boy twins V and F), and their parents. It was really nice. Oh, actually, the kids took a separate trail--by themselves into the nearby woods, and enjoyed that independent adventure.
Then I went to Kings for a few groceries-eggs, milk, cheese, coffee, bread and great holiday items on deep sale, from farm eggnog in glass bottle, marked down from $7.99 to 99 cents and a pretty Christmas candle in jar at half-price. I met Figgy after work in town at stylish VESTA, where I used the gift card she gave me to get a large decaf latte! (She had a vegan mocha made with oat milk.) She came over for dinner. Dan made latkes using egg replacer powder.
It was mostly nice, but then P acted up. You win some, you lose some.
Good night.

ReplyDeleteFeel bad that you didn’t love a book, such a tough year, and then that! You are due for a wonderful read.
My list had wrinkle in Time and Harry Potter, as a matter of fact we all had some kid or YA books, you are not alone.
And of course I am congratulating myself on sending you Make Way for Ducklings. The drawings are adorable.Go, me! My childhood friend becomes a grandma this coming summer, and I already have the copy for her grandchild.
Liz
PS you prob guessed this, but both Ks Y and Nans big boy got copies from me when they were small.
Liz, hahahah, sending love to you patting yourself on the back for sending me Make Way for Ducklings. But you truly deserve 1,000 pats. The drawings are beyond. I love them, and the words, too. Go, me you said! I love your spunk. Love Alice
