It’s been a long break since I’ve seen Jack, Rebecca and the (now #40 yo) triplets....

Spoiler alert: I could’ve sworn I'd seen TV promos saying the new, final season would start March 9 but now OnDemand says March 16. Boo.

- Healthy eating feels good. Salad, chicken sausage, almond butter, yogurt with apple and walnuts...not in that order. So does coffee in a cup & saucer from my parents’ 1951 wedding china set. Brings “Mad Men” to mind--coffee cups were so much smaller back in the day.
- Walked Sug around the block.
- Talked to Sis.
- Raked and gardened, first two big brown bags of the season. Ready to dig into more.
- Reviewed work invoices. Last year was a hell year in many ways and I hadn’t sent an invoice for articles I submitted in November. So now I did.
- Starting to mentally gather items for Goodwill drop-off. Feels good. (The Ann Patchett essay in The New Yorker about decluttering was inspiring. I love Ann Patchett’s writing style.)
- Short chat with neighbors outside, good to catch up.
- Attended a virtual Diptyque Paris fragrance event on Zoom with Sis and a few dozen other scent lovers. It was fun. (Sniffapalooza).
Sorry about your show. I have noticed the same "supersizing" in cocktail glasses. The vintage ones hold 3 oz, and a lot of classic cocktail recipes are based on 3 oz. I feel vaguely reprehensible when I double recipes for cocktails! and I gave away the teacups that came with my everyday china which held about 6 oz. We regularly use 10 oz mugs in the morning.
ReplyDeleteafter writing on Nans blog that I can wait, now feeling surge of competitiveness for vaccine. But MD still in stage 1c, and peter and I are in stage 3. So, like it or not, memorial Day will be crazy lucky, July 4 fortunate, labar day comletley possible. we shall see!
happy friday! judging a moot court tomorrow, looking forward to the young faces.

Ann Patchett is one of my favorite writers, and I'm not surprised that you love her.
ReplyDeleteI feel like I will never catch up on "This is Us." I'm way behind!
